As someone who knows they have a histamine problem this book was not that helpful. If you are completely unaware of your potential histamine intolerance then this book will likely be helpful for you. Half of the book covers Q and A so it may be helpful for you to see yourself in these scenarios or not (which may help you determine if you do have a histamine intolerance). If you do suspect that you have a histamine intolerance from reading the book then do not expect an intricate answer on how to deal with it as her answer for everything is to follow a histamine restricted diet.Where this book falls short for me and anyone who is new to histamine intolerance is that she does not provide any follow through on low histamine recipes. If your answer to everything is to follow a low histamine diet then the author should help the reader to start this process with at least 10 - 20 recipes. There is a shortage of low histamine cookbooks on the market and the fact that this author was a registered dietitian for 27 years and does not give any recipes for one to start blows my mind (especially since her answer to everything is to follow a low histamine diet).The author is knowledgeable on this subject and if you are looking to see if you potentially have histamine intolerance then this will be a good beginner book but if you are looking for a plan this book falls short there.
